Automotive Cybersecurity Threats, Vulnerabilities, & Mitigations: Role of Standards
Vehicles are becoming increasingly complex with many convenience, functional, performance, and safety features added constantly. Such complexity and multitude of features also introduce many attack surfaces. This enables attackers to reach vehicle assets and incur losses to stakeholders. To address cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigations: OEM, Tier 1, and Tier 2 organizations are busy starting to implement cybersecurity solutions. However, this entails implementing not just a single standard, but several to guarantee a sufficient level of cybersecurity in products.
In this webinar, we review the current status of automotive cybersecurity standards and the roles of related documents with emphasis on: ISO/SAE 21434, WP.29, SAE J3101, J3138, and Uptake.
